 1) THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA 


THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA is an ancient series of walls and fortifications, Totalling more than 13,000 miles in length, is located in Northern China. Several walls were built from as early as the 7th century BC by ancient Chinese states. The great wall of china was built with the use of things such as Earth, Stone, Brick, Lime and wood. It is one of the greatest sights in the world - The Longest Wall in the world. In Total The great wall of china took more than 2000 years to build between 770 Bc and 1633 AD. 

 

 

  

 2) CHRIST THE REDEEMER STATUE (RIO DE JANEIRO) 


 Christ de redeemer is an ART DECO statue OF Jesus Christ in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and built by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa, in collaboration with 

French engineer Albert Caquot.This statue was built on 4th April 1922 and took 5 years to build. This statue is made of Soapstone and concrete. The cost in 1931 to build this statue was approximately $250,000 US. The statue is 38m long. 

 

 

  

3) THE ROMAN COLOSSEUM (ROME) 


 The Colosseum or Coliseum is also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre. It was Built in 80 AD. In total it took 7 to 8 years to build the colosseum. The colosseum is 48m long. The Colosseum was constructed with several different materials such as wood, limestone, tuff, tiles, cement, and mortar. Construction of the Colosseum began sometime between A.D. 70 and 72 under the emperor Vespasian. 


 


4) TAJ MAHAL (AGRA, INDIA) 


 The Taj Mahal 'Crown of the Palace', is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan. The Construction of the mausoleum was essentially completed in 1643. It Was Built in the year 1632.Taj Mahal is all made of White Marble and is 73m Long in Height. 

 

 

  

5) THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA (PROVINCE OF PISA, ITALY) 


 The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, known worldwide for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation. The height of the tower is 55.86 metres (183.27 feet) from the ground on the low side and 56.67 metres (185.93 feet) on the high side. It was built on 9 August 1173. The leaning tower of pia is made of Marble and rock. 

 

 


 6) THE GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA (EGYPT) 


The Great Pyramid of Giza is also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops. It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering present-day Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. The Great Pyramid of Giza is 139m Long. All three of Giza's famed pyramids and their elaborate burial complexes were built during a frenetic period of construction, from roughly 2550 to 2490 B.C. The pyramids were built by Pharaohs Khufu (tallest), Khafre (background), and Menkaure (front). It was made of Limestone, Basalt, Granite and Mortar. It covers an area of 16,203.36 ha. 


 

  

7) Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (PETRA) 


 Petra, originally known to its inhabitants in Nabataean Aramaic as Raqēmō,s a historical and archaeological city in southern Jordan. The area around Petra has been inhabited from as early as 7000 BC,[6] and the Nabataeans might have settled in what would become the capital city of their kingdom, as early as the 4th century BC. It covers an area of 264 square kilometres and is 2,657 ft long. It was built possibly as early as 5th century BC. The scale of Petra is just immense – 10,000 people lived there. So, it's huge, and it is made of sandstone – in the desert.
