On the way, Sita sees a Golden deer and asks Ram to catch it for her but the deer was a demon Marich which Tricks with lord Ram and Lakshmana and here Sita gets Abducted. The demon king of Lanka Ravan in the disguise (A different appearance to conceal one's identity) of a saint abducted Sita and ask for Alms and Ravan takes Sita to Lanka after the abduction.
Lord Ram goes in search of Sita with an army of Vanaras. One day Hanuman finds Sita in Lanka at the Ashok Brindavan. Lord Ram, assisted by an army of vanaras and Lakshman reach Lanka and a battle ensures in which they attacked Lanka to rescue Sita.
Since the demon king Ravan could not be killed by an ordinary weapon, Ram prays to goddess Durga for Guidance. The battle between the two armies ensured for many days. As ram prayed Goddess Durga for nine days to nine different aspects of goddess Durga and accumulated enough power/strength to defeat Ravan. On the Final day goddess Durga gives Rama weapon and enough strength with which Ram defeated Ravan and rescued Sita.
This day is celebrated as Dussehra, Festival of Hindus as Hindu god Ram's victory over the Demon King of Lanka, Ravan.
